These cities were once thriving metropolises, home to thousands of people and witness to significant events, but for various reasons they were left to decay and abandonment. Unfortunately, many of these underground treasures are still unknown and this lack of awareness makes it difficult for historians and archaeologists to study and protect them. They could give us clues to how our ancient ancestors lived, worked and interacted, but without being aware of these underground cities we risk losing this important history forever. We need to explore these underground cities and bring them back to life through documentation and preservation, in this way we can unlock the secrets of our past and gain a new perspective on our future.
