The night sky was restless, torn between the stars and swirling storm clouds. A low, unnatural hum vibrated through the air as a shadow moved swiftly above. Beneath it, the small town lay in silence, its streets empty, its streetlights flickering. A lone figure glanced up, sensing something beyond the clouds. Then, it appeared—an alien form, dark and fluid, gliding effortlessly through the sky. Its wings bent reality itself, its glowing eyes scanning the land below. The wind died. Lights went out. A presence loomed over the town, ancient and unreadable. For a moment, all was still. Then, the shadow descended.
