Eira clung to the wind-swept ledge, her wild curls whipping about her face, as she conversed with the booming voice of Zephyr, the wispy cloud who'd been her confidant since childhood. "I told Mother I'd meet her at the market," Eira said, exasperated, "but I fled to think." Zephyr's gentle laughter rumbled, causing the sunlight to dance across Eira's cheeks. "Your mother's stern, but she loves you," the cloud's soothing voice said. Eira nodded, sighing, and Zephyr replied, "On an adventure then?" Eira grinned mischievously, and with a whoop, she leaped off the ledge, Zephyr floating beside her as they soared into the horizon.
