In the dimly lit bedroom, eight-year-old Ophelia settled into bed, her gaze drifting to the antique mirror hanging on the wall. At first, her reflection smiled back, familiar and warm. But as the moon cast an eerie glow, her doppelganger's eyes darkened, like two black holes sucking in the light. The mouth twisted, stretching into a macabre grin. Ophelia's heart racing, her reflection began to lean in, its face contorting into a grotesque mask. The mirror's surface rippled, as if the glass was melting, and Ophelia screamed as her dark twin whispered, "I'm coming out."
