As I trudged through the cerulean twilight, the mountain's serrated peaks swallowed the last wisps of sunlight. Kaelin's lantern cast grotesque silhouettes on the trees, making the very forest seem to writhe and twist. I stumbled upon an inscription etched into the trunk of a twisted pine: "those who wander here, do not return." A frigid gust howled, extinguishing the lantern. I plunged into an abyss of darkness. The last thought I recall is of ethereal hands clawing at my back, the sensation of icy fingers sinking into my marrow, and the taste of damp earth filling my lungs as I whispered: "I am not alone."
